Cabbie in vicious viral bust-up after HWT Rd collision arrested
The driver of a Toyota Probox motor car, who was captured in a now-viral video breaking the car window of another motorist following a two-vehicle collision in the Corporate Area on Friday, has been arrested. The driver, 37-year-old Peter Bramwell of a Kingston address, is now facing several charges and has been labelled as an “illegal taxi operator” by the police.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Gary McKenzie, Bramwell was involved in a collision with the driver of a Pajero at a section of Half-Way Tree Road in the vicinity of the National Baking Company on April 26. A video captured by a passenger in the Pajero shows Bramwell breaking the other motorist’s car window and seemingly attempting to inflict wounds on the driver.
Bramwell is now facing charges of disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property, and assault occasioning bodily harm. The police also revealed that Bramwell has four traffic warrants and 61 outstanding tickets. ACP McKenzie is reminding the public to allow for due process after a traffic accident.
