Krystal Tomlinson replaced in debate after being suspected to have been exposed to COVID-19
The Opposition Peoples National Party General secretary announced that two Member Parliament candidates have been withdrawn from participating in the upcoming political debates due to being suspected of exposure to the COVID-19 virus. The debate is set to start today at 9pm.
Peter Bunting, Manchester Central candidate will now be replaced by Raymond Pryce who is the candidate of St Catherine East Central. This is because Bunting is suspected of being exposed to the virus from an unknown source.
Additionally, Krystal Tomlinson, partner of the King of Dancehall, Beenie Man and a candidate for West Rural St Andrew is suspected to have been exposed to the virus after attending the birthday bash of partner Beenieman. The party was held at Kaya Herb House and it is alleged that persons who attended the party might have been exposed to the virus in another incident. Due this threat, she has been replaced in the debates.

Tomlinson who is an outspoken advocate against public gathering and who is also political public figure is being called a hypocrite after she herself tweeted the Jamaica Labour Party as being ridiculous for massive crowd in Mandeville. Other say as a public figure, she should have led the charge of observing COVID protocols.
Tomlinson released a statement saying that she is experiencing ‘no symptoms, relating to the virus, at this time but had halted all political campaign-related activities.’ She is also self-quarantining and awaiting her results.
Tomlinson will be replaced by Lisa Hannah, PNP candidate for South East St Ann.
