Miss Universe Jamaica 2024 is Rachel Silvera

Rachel Silvera, a 25-year-old pharmacy student, is Miss Universe Jamaica 2024.

The prestigious event was held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the AC Kingston Hotel. Rachel was proudly crowned by Miss Universe Jamaica 2023, Dr. Jordanne Lauren Levy, and honored with the sash by Miss Universe 2023, Sheynnis Palacios.

Sara-Jade Kow, a dynamic 30-year-old real estate professional and entrepreneur, secured the position of first runner-up, while the talented 23-year-old Keri-Ann Greenwood, Miss Universe Jamaica East, was named second runner-up. Rachel had previously showcased her remarkable potential by becoming the first runner-up in the 2022 Miss Universe Jamaica competition, a title won by Toshami Calvin.

Rachel hails from Windsor Castle, St. Mary, and is a fervent advocate for environmental sustainability and mental health awareness. Her inspiring journey from rural farm life to pursuing pharmacy studies at The University of Technology demonstrates her unwavering commitment to making a significant impact. As the first runner-up in Miss Universe Jamaica 2022, Rachel initiated impactful projects like 876PlanetJa to support the Teen Challenge Women’s Centre and spearheaded mangrove cleanup efforts. Now dedicated to SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, Rachel leads a major park development project in rural St. Catherine/St. Mary, symbolizing her dedication to a sustainable future.

Rachel Silvera will represent Jamaica with pride and passion at the 73rd Miss Universe competition this upcoming November in Mexico!
