According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, one woman was arrested by members of the Lottery Scam Taskforce, supported by the Constabulary Financial Unit and members of the St. James Operational Support Team (OST).
The arrest is reported as part of an ongoing operation in St. James today. The lawmen is said to have seized JM$701,000, US$3,000 and BSD 3.00. One Mark X Zio motor vehicle was also seized.
The Investigations are ongoing.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force have been in full active mood in response to the public outcry of crimes on the Island. The security forces and the Jamaican government have been under constant scrutiny and criticism on the epidemic of murders, robberies and other violent crimes which have gripped the society.
