Taraji P. Henson confirms split from fiancé Kelvin Hayden

Taraji P. Henson and Kelvin Hayden have split. The 50-year-old actress confirmed she was single again during an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club on Monday. Henson and Hayden got engaged in May 2018, after two years of dating, and were set to marry this past April. They postponed the wedding due to COVID-19, and in the end, “it didn’t work out,” Henson said.

She said, “I’m dedicated to the black man, y’all. I just turned 50 and I mean, I hadn’t said it yet, but it didn’t work out. I tried. I was like, therapy. Let’s do the therapy thing, but if you’re both not on the same page with that then you feel like you’re taking it on yourself and that’s not a fair position for anybody to play in a relationship.”
