The American dentist who stripped naked and tried to disarm police officer, charged
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), the American dentist seen in the viral video at the Donald Sangster’s Airport in Montego Bay, St. James on Tuesday, January 23, has been charged and taken to court. Charged is 39-year-old Sophia Quinn of Nevada, in the United States of America. She was charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Indecent Exposure.
According to the report, at about 11:00 a.m., officers were summoned inside the airport due to a disturbance. On their arrival, Quinn was seen acting erratically and was therefore accosted and taken into custody.
According to report from the St. James police, the women initially got in a confrontation with her friend. The confrontation with her friend escalated and the police was called. Upon arrival, the women began to assault the police and tried to disarm the policeman. The woman stripped naked, kicking and screaming, physically attacked the police man and in the process tried to take his gun. She was eventually subdued by the police officers and was taken to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
According to reports, a toxicology report was done and she was subsequently charged.
She appeared before the St. James Parish Court on Monday, January 29, where she pleaded guilty to the charges laid against her. Quinn was ordered by the judge to pay a sum of $52,000 or just under US$350 in fines in relation to the charges.
