Trump: Demand Congress to Increased ridiculously low $600 Stimulus Check to $2,000
In a stunning turn of event, President Donald Trump, on Tuesday night tweet, called the $900 billion Covid relief bill passed by Congress an unsuitable “disgrace” and urged lawmakers to make a number of changes to the measure, including bigger direct payments to individuals and families.
“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple,” Trump said in the video.
According to Trump, the Bill has nothing to do with COVID relief even though it is passed as a COVID relief Bill. The Bill includes 177 million dollars grant to Israel missile systems, 3.2 billion dollars set aside so the army can buy more missiles. Money to Cambodia, Pakistan, Burma, Egypt, Belize, Costa Rica and Guatemala and more countries.
President Trump is asking the Democrats to reduce the wasteful spending and send a suitable Bill for him to sign.Nancy Pelosi responded saying, the Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the President wanted for direct checks. At last, the President has agreed to $2,000 – Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!
