“We’re doing well as a family”~Kevin Hunter
“Wendy is doing well. We’re doing well as a family. We are moving forward with working on her sobriety and doing the work to help others, not just ourselves,” Kevin Hunter told ET’s Kevin Frazier on Thursday . “It is a family process. Anybody that has to deal with this knows this a family process… and we are dealing with it and moving forward.”
According to Frazier, Wendy Williams’ husband Kevin Hunter, did not want to address the recent cheating rumours.
Cheating rumours
According to a released statement, Williams had taken an extended absence from her daytime talk show due to health complications after ongoing surgery for a shoulder fracture she said she sustained in December.
“Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment,” according to a note from her family. “Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being.”
The talk show host had missed her Dec. 17 taping, attributing it to the injury. After the show’s planned hiatus the following week, Williams extended her break past the planned Jan. 7 return due to her recovery.
“On Tuesday morning Williams broke down in tears on her show, admitting she had been living at a sober home and was attending meetings around New York City.
Her confession came hours after DailyMailTV contacted her rep to seek comment about the story after we discovered she was staying overnight at a private facility run by the Pure Recovery Network in Queens to treat her addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs”.
A few days after returning to her Show, Wendy Williams decided to let the world in on her secret.
“You know me for being a very open and honest person. You know Kevin and I have the Hunter Foundation for the good of the people and we recently launched out 888-HUNTER number for people who are in the struggle of addiction. Well, for some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house,” a weeping Williams, 54, told her studio audience.
“When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show, I do Pilates … You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in the past,” she said. “I never went to a place to get treatment. I don’t know how. God was just sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped … there are people in your family, it might be you … I want you to know more of the story.”
We reported the story Thursday Wendy Williams’ husband on vacation with Mistress?
Some media outlets are reporting that Wendy hired a private investigator who gave her a barrage of evidence of her husband’s double-life. There are also reports that the mistress is pregnant and is due any day now. The allegations are this is what put Wendy over the edge and into the sober facility.
The question is should Wendy continue to gossip about other people’s business when she do not want to give details of her husband’s alleged double-life?
