Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars

According to the report, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada’s bald-head, calling her G.I. Jane.

G.I. Jane is a character from a movie starring Demi Moore. In the movie the character G.I. Jane completely shaved her head. Nevertheless, in Jada’s case, she is suffering from an alopecia causing her to shave her head completely. The statement from Chris Rock upsets Jada which in turn upsets Will causing him to attack Chris Rock on the Oscar stage.

You can see Will Smith mouthing to Chris Rock, “leave my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth”.

Will later wins the nomination for Best Actor in the category. In his acceptance speech, he apologizes to Academy for smacking Chris Rock.

Smith got emotional during his acceptance speech and apologized after he shocked audiences and viewers by slapping Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith earlier during the show.

“I want to apologize to the Academy, I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees,” Smith said with tears in his eyes. “This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying for winning an award, it’s not about winning an award for me,” she shared before honoring his cast and crew.
